Looking for something special for that Christmas gift? Visit the Arts Centre’s ConneXion Gallery exhibition Sheen to see (and purchase!) stylish, creative pieces by Kaiapoi resident Gerry De Gouw, and five other local jewellery artists – Deanna Gracie, Sue Alexander, Katrina, Brehaut, Ailish Roughan and Monique Connell.

Featured Artist Gerry De Gouw studied woodcarving and portraiture at art school in Holland, and began making jewellery in 1995. Her strong designs reflect a European influence, displaying a skilful play on light using a variety of textures and surfaces. Bold shapes and definition offer her pieces a unique elegance. Most of Gerry’s pieces are one-off, as are most of the works in the ConneXion Gallery, so if something catches your fancy….you had better be in quick!
