Ishimoto is a taste of Japan in New Zealand. It has a focus on the provision of authentic tepanyaki Japanese food while providing great value for money. There is a calm and peaceful feel to the interior during the day, but at the weekends and in the evenings, the restaurant interacts with the vibrancy of SOL Square. Enjoy the experience with green tea or sake, depending on your mood. In fact, on a Friday or Saturday night, Ishimoto’s sake becomes a very popular tipple for those ready to party.

La Petite Croix is an intimate café and restaurant providing a haven, a little piece of France, or, indeed Paris. Stepping into La Petite Croix will remind you of some of the great little cafés and bars you have visited in Europe. Great coffee is served throughout the day, and by night the wine and champagne flows in subtly lit surroundings as you savour the taste of Europe on your very own doorstep.

The Fish & Chip Shop offers a taste of the ’60s, when rock and roll was king, the All Blacks were untouchable, and New Zealand really was God’s own; when every Friday night you could enjoy a good portion of fish and chips wrapped in the day’s newspaper and double fried. When the fish was freshly caught, the prawn cocktail was sophistication and tomato sauce really was made from tomatoes – it was even served in tomatoes!
